Decode RHI Lug Part Numbers
Every RHI kit number follows the same pattern - brand, lug type, style, thread pitch, an optional length/bolt marker, kit size, and finish - built around the example 8744LK6-B.
Format Breakdown
8744LK6-B reads left to right as seven pieces:
1. Brand — 8 (RHI). Mr. Lugnut kits start with 5 instead.
2. Lug nut type — 7 (spline or acorn — see table below).
3. Lug nut style — 4 (open end or closed end).
4. Thread pitch — 4 (see the thread pitch table).
5. Optional 5th character — L for long-length lug nut, or B for lug bolt. Not present in this example.
6. Kit size — K6, the number of lugs in the kit.
7. Finish — B after the dash. If the kit is extended-thread (ET), those letters land right before the dash, ahead of the finish letter
